A Parking addition and storm water addition to an existing elementary school. This project featured numerous planter strips serving as water infiltration galleries. Engineered, free draining topsoil and native plantings allowed surface water to easily perk into the ground below. Pervious concrete was specially designed to allow parking lot drainage without the installation of catch basins and pipe. Taking advantage of the free draining soils allowed the owner to save on many typical construction costs while building an environmentally friendly project.
