Operator Operators at OSG Dozing run the iron that drives our work forward. This position requires skill, awareness, and pride in producing clean, accurate work.
Job Responsibilities
- Equipment Operation – Safely operate heavy construction equipment including bulldozers, excavators, loaders, graders, and other earthwork equipment.
- Site Development & Earthwork – Perform excavation, grading, fine grading, trenching, and site preparation activities according to project plans and specifications.
- Equipment Care – Complete daily inspections, identify maintenance needs, and help keep equipment clean, safe, and job-ready.
- Safety & Quality – Follow company safety standards, jobsite procedures, and best practices while maintaining a high level of workmanship.
- Plan Reading & GPS – Read and understand project plans, grade stakes, GPS systems, and site markings to complete work accurately.
- Teamwork – Work alongside foremen, laborers, project managers, and other crew members to keep projects moving efficiently.
Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment
- Ability to read and understand construction plans, site layouts, and grade stakes
- Knowledge of grade, elevations, slopes, and finish grading requirements
- Experience using machine control GPS systems and the ability to make accurate adjustments in the field - or willingness to learn
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Commitment to working safely and professionally
- Ability to work extended hours, overtime, and in various weather conditions as project schedules require
Work Environment
- Our operators work outdoors on active heavy civil construction sites throughout Western Washington. Projects may include large-scale earthwork, underground utilities, site development, and infrastructure improvements.

Skilled Laborer Skilled Laborers are a critical part of every OSG Dozing crew. This role supports earthwork, underground utilities, and site development operations, working alongside operators and foremen to keep jobs moving safely and efficiently.
Job Responsibilities
- Site Preparation & Construction Support – Assist with earthwork, underground utilities, site development, and general construction activities.
- Excavation & Utility Work – Support trenching, pipe installation, backfilling, compaction, and other underground construction tasks.
- Grade & Plan Reading – Read and understand construction plans, site layouts, elevations, and grade stakes. Assist crews with layout, measurements, and maintaining proper grades in the field.
- Equipment & Tool Operation – Safely operate hand tools, power tools, compactors, and other small equipment as needed.
- Material Handling – Load, unload, move, and organize materials, tools, and equipment to keep the job moving efficiently.
- Jobsite Safety & Quality – Follow safety procedures, maintain a clean work area, and take pride in completing work correctly.
- Crew Support – Work closely with operators, foremen, and project teams to complete projects safely, efficiently, and to specification.
Skills & Qualifications
- Construction experience preferred, especially in heavy civil, earthwork, or underground utilities
- Ability to read and understand construction plans, measurements, and grade information
- Basic understanding of elevations, slopes, and site layout is preferred
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and small equipment safely
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to lift, carry, bend, and perform physically demanding tasks

The right candidate takes ownership of the project, embraces new technology, and helps build a culture focused on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Job Responsibilities
- Crew Leadership – Lead daily field operations, coordinate crews, assign tasks, and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to project specifications.
- Project Execution – Plan daily activities, manage resources, and work closely with project managers and superintendents to keep projects on schedule and moving forward.
- Problem Solving & Decision Making – Identify challenges in the field, develop practical solutions, and make informed decisions that keep production moving.
- Forward Planning – Anticipate upcoming needs, coordinate equipment and materials, and think ahead to prevent delays and improve efficiency.
- Technology & Innovation – Utilize modern construction technology including GPS machine control, digital plans, project management tools, and other field technologies to improve accuracy and productivity.
- Quality Control – Review plans, verify grades and elevations, monitor workmanship, and ensure work is completed to project requirements.
- Safety Leadership – Set the standard for jobsite safety by leading daily safety practices, addressing hazards, and promoting a strong safety culture.
- Team Development – Mentor operators and laborers, share knowledge, and help develop the next generation of skilled construction professionals.

Truck Driver OSG Dozing Truck Drivers are responsible for the safe and efficient transport of materials, equipment, and aggregate to and from job sites. This role plays a key part in keeping projects on schedule.
Job Responsibilities
- Material Transportation – Safely operate dump trucks and other company vehicles to transport rock, dirt, gravel, asphalt, and other construction materials to and from project sites.
- Jobsite Support – Work closely with operators, laborers, foremen, and project teams to support daily production and keep projects moving efficiently.
- Equipment Care – Perform daily truck inspections, identify maintenance concerns, and maintain a clean and safe vehicle.
- Safe Operation – Follow all company safety procedures, traffic regulations, and jobsite requirements while operating equipment in active construction environments.
- Load Management – Safely load, haul, and unload materials while maintaining awareness of site conditions, equipment, and surrounding crews.
- Quality & Communication – Communicate with field supervisors and team members to coordinate deliveries, changing site conditions, and project needs.
Skills & Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL
- Clean driving record preferred
- Experience operating dump trucks or hauling construction materials preferred
- Knowledge of construction jobsites, materials, and trucking operations
- Ability to safely operate around heavy equipment and active work zones
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe driving practices
- Ability to perform basic truck inspections and identify maintenance issues
- Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work as part of a team
