Deep utility excavation requires a unique skill set and prior planning. Over the years OSG has installed tens of thousands of feet of shoring assisted underground utilities. The Trans-Alta project required an engineered shoring system to retain the existing unstable soils. Crews safely used the system to install large diameter storm pipe 25’ below the earth’s surface onsite. Despite the depth, moisture sensitive soils, and the aggressive construction schedule, the project was completed on time and under budget.
