OSG was fortunate to perform Phase 1 of the Nisqually Public Safety Complex. The 18 acre site was fully treed requiring logging, stumping, and wood debris grinding. Upon completion of the clearing operations 18,000 yards of topsoil was removed and stockpiled for future use. After performing the sites cut and fill operations a surplus of 19,500 yards of gravel was stock piled onsite for future tribal use. Roadways and building pads were graded and topped with a layer of crushed base course. A large onsite infiltration pond was constructed to keep storm water runoff onsite. Screened native topsoil was placed in all landscaped areas and sprayed with a bonded fiber matrix of seed to minimize erosion. Underground utilities were installed to all 5 of the future building sites.
