City of Olympia Fire Training Tower

A complete site package for a multi-use fire training facility.

Following the logging, clearing, and topsoil removal moisture sensitive soils were discovered at the City of Olympia Fire Tower site. Specialized erosion control, material handling, and placement was required for the project to be a winter time success. Multiple retaining walls were installed to bring the multi-level site to finish grade. Over-excavation at building footings ensured good structural bearing. A large storm pond contained run off before passing through a metered storm water manhole and being released into the nearby drainage. Underground water, storm, and sewer were installed to the training buildings. Native topsoil was screened and placed onsite.
